Southfields Fazl Mosque (London Mosque) launches New Book at London Book Fair: A GIFT FOR THE QUEEN A unique book is being launched at The London Book Fair by Southfields Fazl Mosque. To mark the occasion of the Diamond Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II the book Tofah-e-Qaisariyyah, meaning a Gift for the Queen, written in 1897 by Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, is being launched translated in English.

Imam Ataul Mujeeb Rashed, Imam of The London Mosque – the first mosque built in London in 1924 – will speak on the visionary qualities of the author who founded the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, emphasised the Islamic duty of Muslim to be loyal subjects, and invited the Queen to study the true teachings of Islam. This message, first sent out by the author at the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria in 1897, is being revived by his present day Caliph, Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, for the Diamond Jubilee this year.

Imam Rashed said:

“Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad was a profound scholar and his books provide a vibrant analysis of Islamic teachings. It is particularly appropriate that, at this moment in time, when we mark the Diamond Jubilee of HM Queen Elizabeth II, we also have the opportunity to read in English a book that marked the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria. It provides a fascinating insight into a bygone era, but is also a testament to the living faith of Islam that places service to one’s country as one of its tenets.”

A project to feed the homeless, undertaken by one of the region of Majlish Khuddam-ul Ahmadiyya (Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association), started on Friday, the 10th of February, 2012 in the UK.

Spearheaded by Tahir Region of Majlish Khuddam ul Ahmadiyya UK, the initiative of homeless feeding this year is again funded primarily by the donations made by their regional membership.

“The donation made would serve 60 people with breakfast, coffee or tea and lunch,” said Hibat ul Mohsin Abid, who serves as social services director for the Ahmadiyya youth in Tahir Region.

Tahir Reagion, which consists of local Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Associations from Cheam, Epsom & Ewell, Surbiton, Sutton and Worcester Par, is working with Faith in Action, Homelessness Project Merton who distribute food, showers and clothing to homeless people.

On average 60 homeless are served food per day along with showers and clothes.

Abid said the food served to the homeless on February 12th was provided by the membership of Tahir Region.

“This is a continuous effort and a long term project,” said the social services director. “The next phase involves volunteers preparing the food as well along with training seminars … for the homeless.”

This will, according to Abid, “serve to motivate and educate the masses in general about how privileged we are and how we can better serve the society.”

The credo of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, “Love for all, hatred for none,” has been fully adopted by the Ahmadiyya Muslim youth in the UK.

Ahmadiyya Muslim Association is one of the oldest Muslim organization in the UK.

Manchester’s newest mosque attracted more than 1,500 Muslims to its grand opening in Hulme.

The £1m Darul Aman mosque, on Greenheys Lane, is thought to be the second largest in Britain.

The mosque was built to serve the revisionist Islam movement Ahmadiyya and was funded by the community.

North West youth president Dr Imran Khan said:

“This is a lot of money but it’s quite amazing how willing people were to contribute.”

He added:

“We’re talking about men, women and even children giving up their pocket money just for this purpose to build a house of God.”

The mosque is expected to accommodate 1,000 worshippers and is thought to be the sect’s second largest in western Europe.

Interview with Dr. Imran Khan, Regional Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association UK, North West region (AMYA NW). Dr. Imran discusses a tree planting event organised by AMYA NW and the forthcoming opening of a new Mosque in Manchester.

Keighley people are being offered free health checks this Sunday by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association.

GPs and pharmacists will be at the Ahmadiyya Centre, 17 Longcroft, Keighley – next to Fitness First – from 3 to 7pm.

The checks will include height, weight, BMI scores, blood pressure, pulse and blood sugar levels. And advice will be available on diet, exercise, smoking and alcohol.

Dr Aziz Hafiz, a GP, said: “We hope the public will spare a few minutes for something which could improve a person’s health and in certain cases save lives.

“An estimated 150,000 people have a stroke in the UK each year and it is the largest single cause of severe disability.

 

“Many lives could have been saved if they had arranged regular blood pressure measurements and then followed medical advice.

 

“These measurements on offer are particularly useful because there are often no symptoms of high blood pressure.”

A major new mosque to serve Muslims across the region is set to open within weeks after a three-year building project.

The £1m Darul Aman Mosque in Moss Side, Manchester, will accommodate up to 1,000 worshippers.

Built to serve the revisionist Islam movement Ahmadiyya, it will be the sect’s second largest mosque in western Europe.

Work to create the new building, complete with domed roof and minaret, began three years ago, funded mainly by donations from worshippers.

The existing building at the site on Greenheys Lane has also been refurbished and incorporated into the new design.

The Ahmadiyya movement, which has around 1,000 members in Manchester, focuses on promoting peace and understanding between Islam and other religions.

Working with the motto ‘Love for all, hatred for none’, the mosque’s name translates as ‘abode of peace’. Mosque spokesman Dr Imran Khan said:

“This mosque has been built largely from contributions by members who are local residents.

“It is three years ago that work first started and it’s great the building is now ready to be officially opened.

“It will serve members of the Aamadiyya community and will also be used for interfaith and educational visits.

“We also want the building to be a symbol of peace.

“Our movement’s aim is to promote harmony between Islam and other religions and loyalty to the country we live in.

“We will also work with different organisations to promote peace so we hope the mosque will be a building for the wider Manchester community.”

Alongside religious services, youth and social groups, the mosque will also be used for interfaith events and conferences.

Regular blood donation drives will also be held there to encourage more people from the Asian community to give blood.

Southfield’s World Muslim leader salutes faith and bravery of martyred Abdul Qudoos Ahmad A conspiracy to defame the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at was behind martyrdom During the Friday Sermon delivered from the Baitul Futuh Mosque in London on 6th April 2012, the worldwide Head and Khalifa of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat, Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad spoke in detail about the brutal torture inflicted by police in Pakistan on Mr Abdul Qudoos Ahmad, an Ahmadi Muslim school teacher, which led to his martyrdom. His Holiness made clear that this was no ordinary killing or martyrdom, but in fact there was a huge conspiracy behind it and it was a major effort to falsely defame the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat.

Presenting details of the case, Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad informed that on 10 February 2012, Abdul Qudoos Ahmad, who was also the President of the Nusrat Abad chapter of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat in Rabwah, was arrested in relation to a murder that had taken place some months earlier. His arrest, came in spite of the fact that there was no evidence whatsoever linking him to the crime.

Abdul Qudoos Ahmad was kept in police custody until 26 March 2012 even though no charges were ever brought against him. During this period he was tortured in the most inhumane and depraved manner as police repeatedly tried to get him to sign a document falsely incriminating and implicating senior Ahmadi Muslim administrative officials. He was beaten, he was hung by his ankles upside down, heavy wooden rollers were rolled over him, he was sleep deprived and he was rarely fed. He was repeatedly advised that if he signed the document implicating the senior Ahmadi Muslim officials he would be released immediately.

Praising his faith and bravery, Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said that Abdul Qudoos Ahmad never wavered from the truth and refused to sign any such document. His Holiness said:

“O Qudoos, we salute you! That you bore extreme and brutal torture but did not let the honour and name of our Community suffer in any way. By sacrificing your life, you have saved our Community from a very grave tribulation.”

Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad also sent a strong message to the opponents of Ahmadiyyat. He said that their nefarious and evil plans could never bear fruit because the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at was supported by God Almighty Himself. That is why the Founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at, Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian received the revelation ‘I have planted the tree of thy honour with My own hand.’ His Holiness added that the fact that the Jama’at had now spread to 200 countries across the world, with millions of members all united at the hand of Khilafat was in itself a great proof of the truth of Ahmadiyyat and a fulfilment of that grand revelation.

Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:

“The strength, the spread and the success of our Community can never be stopped by our opponents. But our opponents should remember that when the Divine Power is forced to take action then they will not be able to escape His Wrath. At such a time no Mullah or cleric and no law will ever come to their aid. Indeed the so-called religious scholars, who cruelly justify their acts in the name of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) will stand at the front of the queue amongst those against whom God’s Sentence will pass.”
